Yes they did a cardiac cath and said it was fine, I was having chest pains and hard to breath, I worked in SICU and the doc making rounds walked me over there to do testing, at the time I was 3 years out from chemo treatments for stage 4 breat cancer, the part that bothered me was saying it was leaking into my gut, when they tried to do the treadmill test I starting throwing PVC's in the first 2 minutes so they put me on monitors for 5 hours then sent me home. I feel OK now, get flutters on occassion but figure that is normal for me, I have had seizures that can not be reproduced since I was 14 and all they say is I stand up to quick, but they happen even while I am shopping or just walking and I have learned to control them cause they have a warning sign where my head feels like it is beating like my heart and then I feel the sway feeling in my head and if I sit or squat and close my eyes it passes with just a little swaying but if I don't it is full fledge convulsions and my eyes roll up. Just normal for me I guess
since every Doctor I have told about it and asked has done some test and said they found nothing, I had a nuclear brain scan after my cancer and they did not say they found anything.
hello there,
It is hard for me to give you an accurate assessment of your situation without knowing more about your clinical history but I would try to answer your question to the best of my ability.
I presume that you had some symptoms suggestive of a heart problem which led to this stress test.
The stress test is not normal and depending on the clinical situation should have been followed by further testing including but not limited to a cardiac catheterization.
That being said, the stress tests are notorious for being false positive and it is likely that there were prior stress tests which were unchanged or that your symptoms were not totally convincing of heart disease.
Again, very difficult to comment more than this without knowing the clinical history.
If it raises concern in your mind, please seek a consultation from a cardiologist and review all your old testing and your symptoms to determine further plan of care.
