myocarditis/pericarditis and flu vaccine

Hi there wondering if anyone can help i know getting the flu vaccination is not a good idea if you have a fever does anyone know if you are suffering from a very mild myocarditis/pericarditis is it safe to get flu jag as there would appear to be a risk from this but then also a risk if you catch flu if you already have myocarditis, any help much appreciated, thanks paolo

Go ahead and check with your doctor, but it will certainly be recommended.  Having any cardiac problems puts you into the category where you are "at risk".  Better the flu shot than influenza.  The flu shot may make some people sick, but not dead.

Don't have a flu shot or anything else without consulting with your Dr.  It is not advisable to have a flue shot even if you have a cold.  So it is obvious not to do anything without your doctor's blessing.
