Alot can change in 7 years and an EKG is only a good tool if you are havng sym, ptoms at the time. If it were me I would want an echo to be safe. This is especially true if the dizzines is a new symptom. An echo is the only way to really know if your heart structure is normal. They are quick and easy and can be done usually within a day or two and the results come very quickly, often before you leave.

Good luck!

If you have a normal heart structure then these are not dangerous except in rare circumstances.  Have you had an echo to check your heart structure? If not, you should, especially if you suffer from health anxiety as many do. Once you know your heart structure is fine, then you just need to learn to live with these, I know that's easier said than done. Just remember, if your heart is fine these will not kill you, they are more of an annoyance than anything else. I have had runs of PVC's in which I get dizzy for a moment and mentioned it to my doctor with the same results. You did the right thing, you had a frightening event and saw your doctor who has your history and said you are fine, it's hard to trust that but you need to try as anxiety will only make it worse.

I hope this helps,

Jon
