While pain in the chest can be related to the heart, it is not always so. There are a number of features to the pain you describe which suggest it is not from your heart, firstly your age (even with high cholesterol), secondly the fact that it has been occurring since you were 14, and also the leg kicking and arm jerking that you describe. It would also be unusual for heart symptoms to throw you off a chair. It is possible that the symptoms you describe could be related to acid reflux, but they are not entirely typical of this either. However clearly these symptoms are concerning you and I would encourage you to see your primary care provider to assess them. Chest pains such as those you describe are often not from the heart, and often not at all serious, but this judgement can only be made by a doctor after talking with you, examining you, and performing any tests that are neccessary.
I hope this is helpful and wish you a speedy resolution to your symptoms.

yes thank you, you have reassured me that it isnt my heart given the fact that two sides of my family have always had heart problems such as heart attacks at such a young age... :) i do suffer from chronic stress since i was 4 years old so hopefully its not that big of a deal, just my body telling me to some how relaxe, something i have still not yet mastered after 25 years...

thank you :)
