post-op recovery symptoms

I had triple bypass surgery done on 4-3-08, and on 6-21-08 I had a TIA,( minor stroke ), my question is, after 2 years, why am I feeling like there is something "loose" in my chest area ? I had x-rays done and all my "bowties" are intact, it's just that when I roll over on my side, when in bed, it feels like something is moving around in there, also the top of my breastbone, where they opened me up, throbs really bad right before it is going to rain or snow. Is this normal?

Aqua, I am providing a link that may help.  Some people continue to have chest pain (sternum) for a very long time.  The clicking sound is a common complaint when there is a problem with the healing process. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Heart-Disease/Sternal-pain-following-heart-surgery/show/254731.

It developed right after surgery, I am 66, and usually heal very quickly, I also have a " clicking " in my breastbone, that my GP says is from the rib cage not healing properly.

Is that a continuing sensation or is it a new development.   Bone growth takes many months to heal and is not generally cause for concern.  It is not uncommon for patients to complain of a sensation feeling of the chest bone which may persist for quite some time.

The speed at which a person recovers depends on a variety of factors such as age, medical procedure performed and overall health.
