Translation - normal. Your heart slows down when you sleep and speeds up when you are active. But you couldn't charge as much for saying that :)
The reason I was wondering, is that my heart beats really hard and fast sometimes, when I'm not doing anything, I also have a hard time breathing, there's pressure in my chest, and tightness in my throat, etc... .
Did my Doctor prescribe Lopressor 25 mg just to humor me?
I don't have high blood pressure.

Did you have an episode during the Holter test. If so then the sensations are not due to arrhythmias except perhaps PVCs or PACs which are benign. IF you did not have an episode then you probably need to get another test called an event monitor which can be worn for a longer period to "catch" the rhythm during an event.
yes i did have an episode, which i think the cardiologist noted as tachycardia.
Then you are in the clear. The palpitations are benign and nothing to worry about.
