I been on Bystolic for sometime now/  I didn't realize there were side effects to this pill?  I have some of those side effects you are talking about.  I'm not sure which pill I take might be cause of it.
I have the wakefulness at night and I take Bystolic in the mornings.
Ihave dizziness and not sure if it's this pill because I have had dizziness before?
I have up n down or highs and lows with my blood pressure.  They blame it on just took my pill a few hours ago before and it might not be in my system all yet/  Or they think it's my fault I have to watch what I eat more? could be? I try.
Or they think I am having heart problems and even with this blood pressure pill?

I'm again wearing a heat monitor and its for 21 days.  I just started.
I have had like I said high and low BP..and I have chest pain that is very painful and there was one signal in my blood work that show a little part of a heart attack?  That is confusing....ER doctor said it was boarder line heart attack, and my heart doctor disagree.  ????

So that is all I know except I had a stint put in my LAD 10/08 heart.
I had another angeo gram in 09 after failing a stress test they could't find the problem?
And I have lots of angnia now?

So I have no idea what is up with all this?  I do also have irregurlar EKG's too.
So should I keep taking this pill Bystolic?  I don't know?
I'm 61 yo women and have COPD as well.

In follow up to my last post - The doctor lowered my dose to 2.5mg because of my extreme exhaustion - In taking the first 2.5mg dose this morning my chest is hurting... Drug company states shouldn't be a side effect - I have a call into my doctor just in case.
I'm not short of breath.. just tired and my chest is on and off achy. My BP is normal along with my pulse.

I'll await to hear from the doctor.

I took my first dose of Bystolic 5mg last night - Never been on a beta blocker before. My HP's have fluctuated severely in the past year so my cardiologist thinks it's a good idea.

I didn't sleep a wink last night!!! I took it around 8pm after dinner. I was up all night long.

I'm hoping these side effects wear off, as I can't go around during the day with no sleep. Maybe taking the pill in the morning with breakfast will work better.

I'm calling the pharmacy and doc today to ask for advice. Maybe taking Tylenol PM at night time will help me sleep now.

I find that my HR is lower and checked it with my husband's exercise watch.

I'll keep you informed.
