squeezing pain

Hi
glad you have this site.
I had heart surgery about six months ago and have a stent I have been doing fairlly well with meds . But about two days ago I have been getting a squeezing feeling with mild neck pain and dizzines and some what feel like I cant get air. rest and sleep help to releave some of the discomfort is this possibly heart related? I do have a primary care appointment next week but im thinking maybe I should go sooner oh I did take my pulse when I felt bad got up to 109 beats per minute

Of course, I do not actually know you.  All I know is based on what you have written. If a patient of mine was having such symptoms six months after a stent, and I believed them, I would either perform a repeat cardiac catheterization, or if I was less convinced of the veracity of the symptoms, at least a stress test.

I would go in much sooner. Stents can sometimes have a build up of scar tissue that causes a recurrence of symptoms. Also, since you have heart disease, you are at risk of developing new blockages. This needs to be evaluated urgently.
