stammering during recitation

recently there is trouble reciting well memorized verses in public, and on stage.  there is no trouble reciting them in private. this is a recent problem. age: 75 : s/p quadruple bypass and pacemaker. this is not stage fright. feel like someone is pushing to complete the recitation in hurry!  thyroid profile, BMP and all other health maintenance tests normal. will propanolol help?

If you can recite them perfectly in private, but not in public, the only difference is that you are performing in front of people. Sounds like anxiety.
