Thanks I'll get seen to soon as I can, I'm too worried not to ignore it! I'm almost 19, I'm female, I do drink and smoke, but I'm not diabetic and there's no family history and I'm a normal weight and I have a healthy diet.
Hello. It is not possible to give you a specific answer through the internet and without all your clinical information and a physical exam. Generally speaking, a chest pain can have multiple causes, and the probability of a heart attack to cause this symptom will depend on the age and cardiovascular risk factors of the patient. For example, if the patient is a young female without risk factors (i.e. no smoking, no diabetes, no high cholesterol, and no family history) the probability of a chest pain to be a heart attack is very low and stress, anxiety or anguish. In contrast, a male >65 yo and multiple risk factors, a new chest pain will have a moderate to high probability to be a heart attack. I don't know in what group you would be, but I think it would be reasonable to see a general physician for a checkup if you see that these symptoms persist. Good luck.
Hi,
Your question will be answered by one of the doctors on this site (not necessarily the same day you post though), but I wanted to comment on your post in the meantime.
After a stressful week, you are experiencing chest pain and tightness that have you scared for your health. These are symptoms that shouldn't be ignored and warrant medical investigation to determine whether this is a serious or benign problem. No one can diagnosis you online, so you will need to see a doctor for diagnosis. Chest pain and tightness are symptoms that you should never wait and see what happens.
