time frame

what amount of time should be allowed for scheduling surgery after being diagonised with 90% blocked carotid artery

I wouldn't think there is a time frame. There are lots of large arteries which feed up to the face/brain. As you can see from this pic there are 2 carotid arteries on each side of the neck, which meet up with other artery feeds in the circle of willis.
May I ask if you are having stenting or endarterectomy?
