toprol viagra drug interaction

My husband had bypass surgery this year at the tender age of 46.  His doctor put him on toprol since the surgery last august.  Since then his sex drive has totally vanished.  Is there something else that works like toprol but without this side effect?
My impression was that there is a nasty interaction between viagra and some cardiac meds.  Is this true of toprol?
Thanks,
Carol

Viagra may be a good option for your husband.  The main drug that can't be taken with Viagra is nitroglycerin in any of its forms.  Have your husband ask his doctor about Viagra.

My understanding is that viagra is not an aphrodesiac. It does not increase your sex drive; only the ability to have and sustain an erection. I am a 55 year old male. I take Topral XL(50mg)along with several other meds, my sex drive has not deminished, I am as horny as ever!
