Is this easy to fix :-
This depends on whether the cause is established and in some cases this is never determined. There are many causes for this condition and a few are....
Result from heart surgery, kidney malfunction, viral infection, cancer, AIDS, rheumatoid arthritis, Heart attack.....
Risks are dependent on how bad the condition has become. Obviously too much fluid can put pressure on the heart muscle, stopping it from working properly.
Most cases are cured within a few weeks or months by medication. Depending how soon the problem is discovered and resolved, some people are left with a scarred pericardium which prevents proper functioning of the heart. The scarred tissue is then removed with surgery.
Some of the symptoms of this disorder are :-
Difficulty in breathing, pain worse when inhaling. Leaning forward usually eases the pain.
Fever, pain in centre of chest like heart attack pain, pain in shoulders/neck, cough, fatigue.
