Well, shoot, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hydrocodone is addictive and not good for you long term but in most states pot is illegal. But you have some valid health problems that your doctor should address. Except for moving to Calif. or Oregon where medicinal marijuana is legal (although very difficult to qualify for) I don't have any answers for you. Please take care.
i have ,post traumatic stress syndrome,it helps with that,it helps me sleep, keeps me non-irritated,calm and collected. it also helps to keep my attention on 1 thing. it also is a natural pain relever and it helps that to.it is hard to find a replacent for all that all rolled in to one. the one thing i have found that does a real good job is hydrocodone/apap.but it seems as though the drs. only give it to people whos sole purpose to have it is to sell it.why would they give it to someone who needs it.so ill continue to buy it off the street
Perhaps there's some other activity you could do now to help you unwind when necessary. There's so much in the world to enjoy that won't compromise your heart and lungs. I'm not sure what effect smoking pot would have on your heart but I would think inhaling any kind of smoke affects the oxygen levels and the lung function which in turn can affect your heart.
We do have medicinal marijuana in our state but it's not usually given to heart patients, perhaps there's a reason for that. Is this something you could ask your doctor?
