Abnormal Heart beat after starting workout routine

Hi, I have noticed that my heart beat has been abnormal latley when i am doing regular activity, not during exercise. I have not workout much before and decided to get in shape and after that I noticed, mainly when I lay down my heart beat is abnormal and my head hurts a bit. If I had to explain it I think it feels like its racing, but it doesnt happen just when I lay down, I also noticed it in the car while driving or watching TV on the couch.

What could be the problem? Is it tied into my work out routine? I do work out everyday, 1 hour of cardio and 30 mins of wieghts.

Its possible you could be just over doing it with the weights.Have you ever been told you have a heart issue. There is a big difference between your heart just beating faster when working out,or racing like if you have svt.If it keeps doing it just limit your lifting using lighter weights, and maybe having it checked out by a cardiologist to make sure its not svt or another arrhythmia.I have svt ,and I also had that problem after a workout. My heart would get very palpitaty or go into svt. You just have to know your limits.

It sounds like you are just "doing weights"... do you go through a warm up before starting to strain?  Are you doing reps or are you doing power lifting?  Whatever the case you need to be careful not to overextend your workout beyond you current physical condition...build up slowly.  I'd also recommend doing some serious walking or even jogging when you can take it,  just lifting weights isn't getting into "condition", it is just building muscles

You should measure you HR, and know if it is "racing" or just a little fast.  At rest a HR under 100 beats per minute would not be racing, but a HR below 70 would be better.
