hey doc. does pac cause afib, i have pac like 9-10 weeks in a row and i have them over 3000 a day. than poof they go away and come back in 7 months to a year . dont have them like one or two here and there. is this normal and they dont come with stress or what i eat . they just come when they want to is that normal. had holters and they always say pac, ecco was good to had 2 years ago . how ofton should you have one. ok thanks . your doing a great job.

Can PACs cause AF -- yes, in the right person.  At least for now, it sounds like you are not the right host.  1000s of PACs per day is a great stress test and it sounds like you haven't had AF yet.

The next issue becomes a mental health question and I think it is VERY important.  One approach is to think -- "I have all these PACs and am at risk for AF and then spend hours worrying 'what if I develop AF'".  This is not a fun way to live.

The other approach is to say "I have all these PACs and have never had AF.  I guess there is a chance I might someday, but why don't I worry about that then...."  The dali lama told me this once and promised me eternal happiness (I was his caddy).
