So as you may know, every now and then I get these strange beats. First off my heart will be beating fast due to panic or anxiety. It will throw a pvc every now and then. But then it will throw what feels like the beginning of a pvc and it feels like my heart will kind of quiver at the top left and then ill cough and it will throw itself back into a normal (yet still fast) beat.
The reason I ask this is because my father has afib. His only come up like every couple of years though. He got his at about 45 years old.
Our family also has a history of Hyperthyroidism.
Could hyperthyroidism be making my heart beat so erratic? or should I fear the worst of Afib?
I told the doc about it and he said it sounded like SVT since I can make it cardiovert by a valvasa manuver (not sure how to spell it).
My grandfather on my dads side also died of heart disease. Of course he was waaaaayyyy overweight. ( he was the heaviest man in the army in WW2!)
Also, I have GERD from stress and that seems to bring on fast heavy beats also
What do you think?

With that family history (which I hope you've told to your doc?), I think it would be sensible to ask your doctor all these questions.   Having treated you, he'd be in the best position to give you good answers, after all.
