Comment on thyroid, PAC's, Lump in throat

This is a comment not a question.  I went in for a check up last week and informed my PCP that about a year ago I started having this feeling in my throat.  I told him I felt it was connected to my heart.  He said it is common for those that experience atrial arrythmias to have a feeling in their throat.  From other symptoms, hair falling out (all over, not in patches), feeling of coughing, and gagging at times, insomnia, along with the irregular, racing, and pounding heart, he wants to do a thyroid ultrasound to check for cysts or nodules.  I have my levels checked every 6 months or so, but I'm always "in clinical range."  I'm really hoping to get some answers soon.  I've always thought I've had thyroid problems (I am 38 and still weigh 99 pounds.  I can't gain weight for anything), but didn't think about nodules, goiters, etc.

Yes, I have had PAC's and tachycardia for 16 years.  I take 12.5mg of atenolol every night.  I'm very curious as to why doctors don't focus more on the hormones that the thyroid produces.  I really don't understand how every person's clinical value can be the same range.  What's normal for one person may not be for another.

I also have something going on in my throat that I swear is heart related.  I feel a little flutter in the base of my throat and then a couple different things happen.  I just had one happen about 5 minutes ago (which is why I am back on this site) and now it feels like I have an orange stuck in the bottom of my throat.  I am now getting left arm pain (high on shoulder) with them as well but the throat feeling sticks around for a while, even after the arm pain subsides.

They've check my thyroid (I am 38 as well) and always clinically normal even though I have had 5 ultrasounds that show it increasing in size.

Have you had all the cardio tests?
