Complications after cardiac ablation

Hello.  I had a cardiac ablation 3 weeks ago for a-fib.  The incision sites in my legs healed quickly and the bruising went away within the first 2 weeks.  Last week I had a TIA (mini-stroke) and the ER doc told me that I may experience more and to get to a hospital immediately if I do (I actually waited a while after it happened before I went to the ER and only because my husband literally put me in the car and took me).  Yesterday I started feeling a little tenderness in my right groin area, right next to where the incision was in that leg.  I felt for any firmness or lumps and couldn't find any.  This morning I woke up and the whole top of my right leg, across from groin to hip, is tender to the touch.  It feels slightly warmer then my other leg, but is not red or swollen or anything that I can tell what is causing the pain.  It actually hurts to sit at my desk right now because the groin area is very tender.  Could this have anything to do with the ablation?  I don't have an appt with my cardiologist until the 30th, should I call his office and report these symptoms or are they normal?  Could I have a clot and just not feel any lump in that area?  I would ignore it but I don't want to have a major stroke, then again I don't want to run to the ER every 5 minutes for every ache and pain I feel.
Thanks

This is not normal. I had bruising and tenderness after my ablations but nothing like this. And the fact that you healed up normally and now this flared up, it needs to be checked. Don't worry about what they think in ER. This is not in your imagination. Please go.

Please get yourself to the ER. When I developed a clot after having surgery I had no swelling or redness infact all I had was an ache in my leg. The blood test was only slightly over the recommended and the Ultrasound test was needed. They found a small clot near my ankle. If you get it sorted straight away you won't have too many issues after that.

Were you not taking low dose asprin after your ablation?

I don't believe this is a normal phenomonon at 3 weeks post ablation.  I was given explicit instructions to observe this area for tenderness, swelling, abnormal pain, warmth in the area of the puncture site, as well as coldness  and tingling in the leg.  These can be signs of infection and or clotting.  I don't want to alarm you, but this is something you don't want to mess around with.  Please call you doctor immediately for instruction on what you should do!
