I am CERTAIN the increase in my pvc's is from hormones. I going through the big "M" too.
My night sweats are horrid. I have at least 4 or 5 every night. I wake up drenched. This is miserable. My doctor told me to try and "tough it out" as I don't want to take hormones. Plus my ob/gyn took me off the pill in December. I believe all of this is contributing to the increase in skips. I just don't feel good. I'm tired, and something just doesn't feel right. I can't explain it.
I saw my doctor just a few weeks ago and wore the monitor and everything was fine except for rare pvc's. (it was a good day). I just had almost 2 weeks of feeling pretty good and now they are back. They seem to start up around noon and last until I go for my run. After that, I don't feel them much. It is hard to manage them but I am trying. I just feel every one and that make me cough or feel like I have to cough.

Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor for reducing blood pressure. My doctor didn't want to give me beta blockers because of the asthma. Seratide is a two in one inhaler comprising a steroid and a long acting bronchilator. Apparently the long acting part can make ectopics worse and my doctor is thinking of bringing the strength down eventually to just a steroid. I have had a monitor on overnight at the hospital last year where they caught thousands of ectopics, one every third beat, but they said they are just ectopics and to learn to manage them better. Easier said than done! I can't really pinpoint anything in particular that triggers them as when I don't have them I'm eating and drinking the same things, which is why I think they may be related to hormones. They started getting worse about the same time as my periods started becoming heavy and erratic. I was just starting to cope with the ectopics and then get told I have asthma and high blood pressure! Nightmare. I'm dreading going to bed at night because I just know I'm not going to get much sleep. The only thing I can focus on is that they tend to disappear as quickly as they started but it is still very scary when you get so many.
Sorry, I meant to say albuterol and the inhaled steroid I take is Flovent.
Beta-blockers can be contraindicated with asthma..but I have asthma too and have been on atenolol (a beta-blocker) for 7 years. I'm not familiar with either of the meds you are on, but I take an inhaled steroid daily for my asthma and albutero (now Proair) for breakthrough asthma. The Proair affects my PVC's and PAC's. I also believe my hormones make my heart palps a lot worse. Cycle time for me is an absolute nightmare. As Jerry said, you should see about getting a monitor. Feel better.
What is Remipril? a beta blocker?
If the ectopic are worse than the last time you were examined, it may be time to see a Cardiologist again. Have your worn a monitor to record the episode details? Sounds like you could get a recording by wearing a monitor for just 24 hours.
I hope you get some input from women who have gone through a similar experience.
Best wishes,
