My heart rate is 150 standing up?

Hi, I’m Jenny and I have a full time course in college and I am 14 years old. I’ve recently been noticing the sudden changes of my pulse rising from 110 laying down and then to 150 standing up and probably maxing 170 when getting out the bath, I don’t know if this is normal for a 60kg girl but I’ve noticed it got worse during the slight cold I have now.

But I’ve always had jumping blood pressure ever since it first happened before a flight back to England which I wasn’t ill on (I don’t know what triggered that rise).

I’ve been having weird episodes of things that I cannot explain in the past 2 nights which have stopped now. Such as paranoia like someone’s touching me and my whole body feels weird like somethings happening (don’t know whether to call this true paranoia) and then suddenly waking up worried in the early mornings of 4 am?

I tried to consult a doctor but he said there was nothing wrong and that I should just sleep it off (note this was 4 months ago I tried to consult a doctor). The doctor didn’t seem bothered or he didn’t try what we suggested which is understandable but now I’m thinking that I’m just delusional or over reacting and I just can’t get over it!

The cold is passing away faster than expected, and I can see that it slightly budges up the pulse but not by a lot as I sometimes feel this way when I stand up.

Okay finally, I have college tomorrow and I don’t know if I should call in sick as I feel like I’m legit about to pass out with every step I take.

Should I call in sick?
Is 150 pulse dangerous or anything exceeding 150 dangerous?

( I know I’m not supposed to mention my name but there’s no records of this in medical books due to me thinking I’m delusional)

Im so sorry that you are going through this. I highly, highly recommend seeing an endocrinologist. It could be anything from a thyroid issue or adrenal gland issue (both very treatable, but hard to diagnose). If the first endo you talk to dismisses you, go see a different one.  Explain that this is not your normal and that you need help. Like I mentioned, its hard to diagnose these things and they are frequently missed. Please let us know how you are doing too, I hope they can figure out the cause. High thyroid hormones or adrenaline can cause what you are describing though.

And also the touching isn’t in a sexual way, it’s more uncomfortable and agitating (such as arms, ears, hair, back)
