Hi the SA Node had a 40% blockage built up inside it and this was causing the SA Node to start having some form of spasms/seizures lasting approximatley a couple of minutes, during these spasm/seizures my heart rate would drop to 31bpm because not enough blood was being pumped into my heart during the spasm/seizure and as soon as the spasm/seizure would end my heart rate went back up to normal rate, this was causing me to collapse on each occassion and other symptoms which is why they fitted the pacemaker to keep my heartrate up and from dropping to prevent collapses, no other part of my body has the spasm/seizure at the time, its strange, the cardiologist said it is a rare condition thats why i am trying to see if anyone else has this condition.. The pacemaker seems to be doing its job but i still feel the SA Node having its spasm/seizure but dont collapse anymore i just feel lathargic.. Thanks for your replies if you do come across anyone who has simular please let me know..

I am aware that a cardiac pacemaker is located near the SA node (sinoatrial node) and usually only affected by, infections or other stress. I guess it would depend on the type of pacemaker you got implanted. It's a question best suited for a cardiologist or your physician.
Sorry to read of the complexity. My sister had similar symptoms and a pacemaker has worked out well for her for the past 10 (or more, I don't recall) years.
Are you saying the SA node blockage is electrical, not classic artery blockage? It sounds like that is what you are telling us, signal blockage is causing some of the heart beat signals to be missed (blocked). I have not read anything like this before, then too maybe I don't understand what you have described. That noted, it would seem to me a pacemaker should help such a situation, fill in for the missing beats. Too, I know very little about pacemakers.
Hope you get some helpful inputs.
