ECG Readings and following heart attack

On June 4 of this year I went to a local ER for severe chest pain. I had been having this pain intermittenly for a week. My ECG results read "right atrial enlargement, T wave abnormality, consider anterior ischemia, and abnormal ECG". I was given a GI cocktail and sent home diagnosed with epigastric pain. Four days later I went to my primary doctor because the chest pain was so intense. She drew blood, and after the results gave me nitro and asprin and rushed my to a Cardiac Care Unit at a hospital. After cardio testing, the doctor told me I had at least two heart attacks and a 98 percent blockage in my right artery, and 65 percent blockage in the left. I had two stents placed in the right and  am treating others with meds.Should the first ECG on the 4th given any indication of cardio trouble?

Wow - I did a quick Google search and found that Wikipedia thinks his CK levels were well within normal limits, but every other site out there indicates, as you did itdood, that that finding of CK level should have warranted further investigation.

So I guess you shouldn't trust Wikipedia for your medical info!

The ECG + your elevated creatine kinase enzyme level would seem like they missed the cardio issues.

It seems like your primary doc handled an emergency situation better than the ER did.

They drew blood, took urine culture-troponin .02, creatine kinase 236, amylase 57, lipase 24-don't know the effects of these results, sorry

The ECG results you mention in quotes would normally warrant further investigation.   ECG alone isn't fool proof.

Did they draw blood and check for enzymes at the ER?
