Fast heart beat

hi, I am a 23 year old medical student, currently in my final year , i have this problem of a really fast heart beat but only when I take a nap at around 3 or 4 pm , i have this almost everyday since the past 4-6 years, its very frustrating at times, whenever i wake up at this time, i have this bounding heart beat, then usually it disappears on waking up, but then i start to have a headache which continues for an hour or so, it tends to be very annoying, and i have many such frequent headaches,  due to these i have tensing feelings always and its difficult to carry out daily activities upon waking up, then by 7 i usually feel better , but the time from 4-7 i cant rally utilise my time due to these feelings. I also do get headaches upon studying for long periods of time and then i feel as if my head is dull and i am imcapable of doing anything else. I would really like to overcome this problem in order to enhance my daily performance.

I usually sleep at that time as i come from my college and feel really tired, if i dont sleep at that time then i am sleepy by 10 and i have to study till 12 atleast. But your suggestion is good i will try doing that. Nowadays i can hardly lay for 30 mins and then i am wide awake with the same feelings, i guess i always have exams stress it feels as if  it comes  to me, i try not to take stress but then all the anxious thoughts start to appear in my mind and i dont know what to do :/.

Well, I'm not a specialist of any kind, but it sounds like your problem is not physical, but caused by anxiety. I think you got used to wake up in an agitated state and your mind keeps telling you that you will feel anxious when you wake up. I had an issue like this for some time, I used to wake up in the morning with my heart going 140+...  and it was only anxiety!
In my opinion, If you had a "real" physical problem, it would occur at any time, not only in the evening.
An now an obvious question: why don't you avoid sleeping at that specific time? At least for a month.. Maybe your body would "reset" and you would feel good after that..
