Thanks for the encouragement. I know you're right -- it's easy to sit in my recliner, but b-o-r-r-r-r-i-n-g!
Hey if I was you I would do what makes you happy! IF your only going to live one time you may as well live life to the fullest.I know you have afib but you can still enjoy life sometimes its will be hard but better to enjoy it then watch it pass you by. I relay hope you feel better.
Kim -- Yes, no caffeine, no coffee, no carbonated drinks. I am keeping my sugar intake down because I am diabetic and it is under good control. The extra dose of beta blocker and a Xanax got me feeling a little better and still able to enjoy the music.
I get the suspense movie palps too. I try to avoid any movie that's advertised as, "heart pounding suspense." I don't need it, plenty of heart-pounding going on as it is:)
I guess it's the excitement that does it. I don't want to do away with excitement all together -- it just starts feeling a lot like I feel when my heart goes tachy -- don't want to go there!
I see my EP Cardiologist in about 5 weeks, and am having an echo beforehand to see if my left atrium has shrunk any. I'm on Warfarin, so yeah, I think I'm doing okay medically. I also have a great internist, so feel well taken care of.
Thanks for the post, it helped me put this in perspective. Got to have some fun things to do!
Delta,
I notice that when I am excited, happy, "good stress"-- I get pacs in clusters.
When I was test driving a new car, and when I was driving that new car home! Wow, lots of them. Thank God none of those went into my atrial tachycardia business.
When I was watching a suspenseful movie couple weeks ago I noticed my heart palps and always has.
What fun, a gospel concert!
I say sing, especially if you love it!
You have been posting here for a long time, I am sure you are under good medical care, right?
Just curious if you cut out all stimulants like coffee, chocolate, lots of sugar, etc...
