Heart Rate Question...

Im a marathon runner with a resting pulse of 38-42. I run 45-65 miles per week, most at a 5:30 to a 7:00 pace.  In watching my heart rate monitor on a treadmil I have noticed that initially my heart rate increases for the first few miles, then drops off.  It seems to consistantly do that when I wear the monitor.  Below are the BBM from running yesterday.  I'm wondering why this happens and if this is normal.

Pulse Before Workout: 42
First 1.5 miles: 177 (7:30/mile pace)   (Warmup)
Next 1.5-3 miles: 127-130 (same pace)  (Warmup Cont) (pulse drops rapidly from 177 to the 130 range over 1 mile or so)
Miles 3-6: 166 (faster 5:42 pace)
Mile 6-7: 150 (7:03 pace)
Miles 7-9: 139 (7:30 pace)   (Cooldown)
Pulse After Recovery: 45

Lance Armstrong, according to the internet, has a resting heart rate of 32-34 bpm.  I would suppose you would have a similar cardiovascular system as his, being that you run marathons.  This may be a normal resting heart rate for you.  As long as you are asymptomatic, no dizziness or BP problems, etc..., you may be fine.  I would think that medically, they might call that bradycardia.  However, you have to take this with a grain of salt.  If you are having no symptoms, may be fine.  If you have further concerns, may see a MD or cardiologist.  Maybe you can go to a local university or college and talk with their exercise physiology department and be a guinea pig and let them check your VO2 max and stuff.  You might try talking to fellow marathoners and similar athletes and see what is going on with them.  Your local MD or such may not have experience with athletes such as your self.  But again, if you are experiencing symptoms, may need to see MD.  Look very carefully into this topic.  Hope this helps.

ive seen some low resting heart rates, but that to me is too low!!!
avarage heart rate should be between 70-100 beats a minute,,even if your a serious runner like you sound,,you should still be at least 65 bpm.
