Heart Stopped?

Hello, I'm a 17 year old male that's been having a lot of odd symptoms (please see last post) and I got a event monitor today, while in the car on the way back to my house I felt a very odd feeling almost like my heart stopped. I couldn't really breath, not like asthma I just couldn't breath I'm not sure why, after about 30 seconds this went away I was able to press my event monitor at the time. Is this even possible? wouldn't I have passed out? I was having a hard time finding my pulse at the time, in my neck and wrist. The event monitor I'm using is called a King of Hearts Express, during this episode the pulse bpm went blank on the screen I was told to ignore the bpm as they weren't accurate as moving the device changes it like crazy. I've had this happen many times before and it's freaky, sort of feels like I'm dying or something.

GREAT!  Then keep sending them in and at the end of 30 days,  your doctor will probably tell you they are harmless pvc's.  It's just crazy how many sensations you can feel from the same premature beats.  Hopefully you feel a little better to know that whatever you were feeling wasn't life threatening.

I haven't transmitted anything yet, they said to wait until I get 4-5 readings, I'm going to do it anyway.

Do you have a monitor that allows you to transmit the episodes?  If so, they will let you know right away if it was serious or not.  If not, at least you have caught it and they can tell you what it was.  I get those same sensations every once in a while so I will be interested to find out what they say.  I think if you didn't have a pulse for 30 seconds, then yes you would have passed out.  I usually can't feel a pulse or about 3 seconds or so.

The good news is, your heart didn't stop.  If it did, for 30 seconds, you would have passed out.  And yeah, search Youtube for "king of hearts monitor" - there's a video there showing how crazy the thing can read from little disturbances.

Just press the button, record your events, and transmit them.  When you transmit, if they person on the other end sees anything dangerous, they'll tell you to get to the ER right away.  So if they aren't telling you to do anything different, that means they aren't seeing anything alarming.

Hope that helps.
