Atrial tachycardia/flutter and scarring

I've had three ablations in the last six months for atrial tachycardia and flutter. Now 4 weeks after the latest attempt, the tachycardia returned. The EP said that there is notable scarring on the right atrium and this is most likely what is causing the problems.

Has anyone ever had problem with scarring like this? The docs don't know where it could have come from. I'm a healthy 50 year old. I never had any heart issues that I'm aware of. I'm hoping someone out there has some experience with this kind of situation. The EP doc said this is quite an unusual case. So much so that he presented it as the monthly round table.

Have you had your valves checked?  Wonder if it is intermittent valve issues.  I would seek a second opinion.  3 ablations in 6 months is a lot and could in and off itself cause scaring I would think.  As a general rule of thumb most ablations should be spaced out to give time for the heart to heal.  it takes a good 3 months after one ablation for the heart to settle down.  Hopefully you can get this resolved.
