MRI stimulated my heart

I was getting an MRI of my neck, I do not have claustrophobia, I had an mri in 2011 no problems. This time when the mri machine started the test it stimulated my heart rate up to 175bpm and thats at rest.. not a good feeling to say the least. A lot went on within that time it took me awhile to feel ok, the technician said it was not a panic attack an I agree 100%
I have no pace maker or metals in my body, my brain had no part in this, and i even stayed as calm as i could during this horrible experience…. My arrhythmia doctor believed me but couldn’t really explain it. The doctor I work for thinks it stimulated a nerve in my heart…. Why did this happen?? Anyone else ever experience this??
