How effective is taking metoprolol for POTs.  I was recently prescribed this fo rmy diagnosis of POTs.

Also, how effective has neurotin been for addressing POTs.

The effect of metoprolol on POTS happens because your heart rate is slowed down. A racing heart in the setting of POTS often beats ineffectively because the blood flow back to the heart isn't as good as when your heart is racing when exercising, which causes the heart to fill less and pump less blood, even at a high heart rate.

As far as I understand, non-selective beta blockers like propranolol are more effective, as they also are causing the blood vessels to contract a little.

I don't know anything about neurontin, sorry..
