Hi Marie...
You are not a bother, this is what were are here for:)
Cymbalta is used to treat major depression and anxiety. It is also used to relieve nerve pain (peripheral neuropathy) in people with diabetes.
This medication is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) that works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain (neurotransmitters). Duloxetine may improve your mood, sleep, appetite, and energy level, and decrease nervousness
COuld you tell me what other medications you are currently taking?
Hi Brook, I hope that is you name, thankyou so much for the feedback, it is a relief to have someone explain things from human to human, doctors are sometimes inhuman
I am on Diaformin for my diabetes 250ml once daily because it got all messed up when I had to take antibiotics for about 4 months for another condition called intestitial cystitis which was diagnosed by a gyno, I take Ternormin for my abnormal heart beat, I take Nexium for reflux, I take Antenex to help me sleep, and lipitor for cholesterol, and am on HRT Climara 50ml patches per week. I have just won a bullying and harrasment case through workcover and law court which happened at work. So I have had a torturous 2 years and am feeling pretty stressed and depressed.

Good morning Marie...
According to your medication list there are currently none that pose any drug interaction with Cymbalta. Your family or other caregivers should also be alert to changes in your mood or symptoms. Your doctor will need to check you at regular visits for at least the first 12 weeks of treatment. Make sure that you take this medication at the same time every day.
I am very sorry to hear what you have been going through the past 2 years. It sounds like it's now behind you. As my mother always tells me..."keep your pretty little chin up!:)
you can also go to www.rxlist.com
Thankyou Crystal that site was a great help, hope all is well with you
