no it can not happen i have many in a row and i ask my cardio dr same thing it will not happen so dont worry about that .pac /pvc will not cause your heart to stop.
Probably not. I think if that was the case we (PVC's sufferers) would have implantable defibrillators. Don't think of the worst thing happenening. Your doctors can see from your ekg if your at risk for sudden death. Thats something they would have told you about. It's hard to believe that it's O.K. for your heart to beat so weirdly. I finally had to accept that my heart rhythem is messed up, it's a part of me. I also had to take my medicine. It took me a while to find the right med and the right dosage. Right now at this point in my life I have to take it. I was on another PVC web site, talking about this problem, and another sufferer said to me "take your medicine!" Thats when it occured to me my life has changed, I need to adjust to this new situation, and go on from here.
I have had a work up -- My heart is fine. I do have HBP that I take medicine for. BUt my heart is structuarlly fine. My worry is that the skipping beats will come in a row and stop my heart. Can this happen?
My PVC's hurt, sometimes. I find that tylenol or advil will help with the pain(not with the palps). I take it every 4 to 6 hours when they get bad. Make sure you get a check up to be sure everything is O.K.
carey how long have you had them and have you had a heart montor, i have had them for 24 years now and mine come and go, i had them pac for 10 weeks straight last year they were really bad all day long had over 3000-5000 a day recorded, but my cardio said not to worry they not going kill you , so i increased my meds and it helped but did not take them away , now when they left last march i have had a few here and there but nothing bad, so hoping they not happen like that again , but try and relax, if you been checked out . mine hurt to sometimes and they hurt in my neck sometimes but they not kill me after 24 years i think we safe. good luck
