last yr i felt skipped beats after running, only because i took my pulse to see what my heart rate was - well since then i go thru periods where i cant stop thinking about them and therefore i feel them, last july i did have all the typical tests, echo, stress, 24 hr holter, ekg, even had a CALCIUM SCORING - all were normal and cardiologist said  they were benign to go on as usual....but sometimes i get so nervous...for instance today i was running on my treadmill, four 9 minute miles and i got to thinking about them and i felt them as i was running, therfore i got more nervous because i was getting PVCS while my HR was increased and thats bad, i almost stopped but i finished

does this happen to anyone, certain things trigger them whether i'm doing nothing, working, exercising, post exercise.......stress and worrinying about them definitely brings them on, indigestion and air swallowing ( when i run i tend to "swallow air" for lack of a better word) brings them on as well, sometimes positional as well

i am worried about feeling them while running, should i be? - is it because i think about them?  i'm a runner and have been for 20 years and I curse the day when i took my pulse, they only bother me because i know what they are

i 42 uo female, vitals and labs normal always

Hello,

Long time PVC\PAC suffer here.  Well once you have PVC's and feel them it is impossible to forget about them.  When you start to think about them throughout the day, more than likely you start having anxiety about them.  Once the anxiety hits, adrenaline is released into the body which makes the symptoms worse.  That is why many times beta blockers are prescribed as they block the adrenaline receptors throughout the body.  However if you are a exercise person you wont like beta blockers.  I was on 100mg atenolol for PVC's and I could jog around my neighborhood and my heart rate would never go above 100.  It was the strangest feeling.  Then I became tired and dizzy.  Sounds like you should carry on your life.

I think alot of us can relate to what you are feeling and have felt that way at one time or another.  The main thing that should set you at ease is that the majority of incidents when people throw PVC's is actually at rest not during so that should put you at ease a little bit.  I used to think that if i could just be like Forest Gump and keep running and running and running that i wouldn't die because the issues happened after the gym, after the runs.  Stupid thought but my heart doc says it makes sense.  I personally think that you may be looking for trouble where there is no smoke here.  Your tests are awesome, your doc basically gave you a clean bill of health and who knows what the heck you had eaten, were thinking of, were stressed about, etc. when you took your pulse that day.  Literally millions of humans toss out PVC's on a daily basis and don;'t even know it and thank goodness none of us have the ability to see inside of our bodies  or we would all be sitting in a corner rocking back and forth.  You have so many things on your side,,,you are young, you are active, you are woman......and just as a funny thing....we all "swallow air" you're just lucky you aren';t one of the ones who starts choking when you are eating your food and do it.....sometimes i swear we are our own worst enemy momof3....enjoy your life..stop panic 'ing  you got it from the horses mouth...your doc.....enjoy life...enjoy your family...spring has almost sprung and for goodness sake keep your fingertips off of your wrist or neck for a week.......and if you are using a monitor....there is a HUGE  margin of error in them.....i'll trade places w. you any day of the week......
