You know I have been eating those small chocolates here at work most every mornint, maybe three.  They are the snack ones, but on weekend I don't eat any and still get them but maybe it takes time to go thru your blood stream.

I was wondering about the chocolate or sugar, maybe your right, had alot of sugar Thursday and Friday I had the palps all day.

Going for my results today, ugh!!

Just thinking about you 11am and 3pm are times you are getting them worse. I ate a chocolate at morning tea today and it set me off big time. Make sure you arent eating sugar around these times - it may be a trigger for you..

Ive been terrible - one every 7 beats constantly for the last few weeks, waking up with racing heart, strange episodes of tachicardia out of the blue. I started going for walks after work to get my pulse going to try and reset myself, thats been working okay, i get some relief, takes my mind off also. Then strangely yesterday on a bike ride i dropped into a pharmacy to get aloe vera gel caps (ive already tried taurine magnesium potssium betaine hcl etc..) that night i took two before dinner and a strong b complex tablet and to my astonishment they stopped. Today they have been so much better too, i even had a coffee. Too early to celebrate, but even having a day off had lifted my spirits incredibly... Do try it, the b vitamin may have helped too - not sure..

Hi Salsy 173

I did have my echo and wore a holter monitor for 24 hours on Monday.
Tues I go to get my results and am scared out of my mind.

Did have a pretty good day yesterday till about 11:00 pm then got them with a vengence.  Had so much anxiety wanted to go to ER.  Mine give me shortness of breath and I just cannot handle some of them, others are not as bad.  Today was perfect till 3:30 pm and have had them every since.
I started to take that metropol of whatever it is called and it has not really helped.  What has helped you?
I need some reliefe soon, I do take Xanax also.

How have you been feeling?

Yes Ill try those next ive read really good things. Im going to try to keep a diary of my Pac's to see if there is a pattern too. Some people say it could be allergies, stress, hormonal, food - just a process of elimination. Im pretty desperate actually. My feeling is most likely hormonal. Im terrified its some kind of premenopausal thing, which ill be stuck with for years. Id give anything for my life back.

A little bit.  I have to say, the magnesium has created for me so far a few hours here and there of peace and softer arrythmia - if that makes sense. Although, I do think this could be hormonal also. I m going to keep up the mag though thats for sure...

I understand exactly how you feel.  I started noticing mine when I was pregnant with my child.  I was sent to a cardiologist and even wore a monitor for a 24 hr period.  She told me I had an extra beat.  Not to worry that if it really bothered me I could start taking some vitamins to help reduce them.  That was 4 years ago.  I have had them erratically over the last 4 years.  Usually at night when I stop moving around.  They go away just about as quick as they come on.  Recently, I went to bed with them a week ago thinking they would be gone by morning and to no avail they are still here.  A week now.  I did visit the ER thinking they might be a problem.  I was on a EKG machine for 3 hours and they did blood work and everything.  They let me go and told me I had some thyroid problems to go have that checked out.  I also was in a car accident almost a year ago that has affected my entire life.  I am in cronic pain on a daily basis due to a back injury.  I am under a lot of stress and I really think some of these things are playing into all this.  But it does rule my life right now.  I am going back to my cardiologist next week just to make sure nothing has changed since my last visit.  Everyone keep assuring me that all is ok and its normal.  But it doesn't feel normal.  It freaks me out.  My general practitioner told me that I have an electrical issue not a plumbing issue.  To not worry.  Easier said than done.  He also put me on Tropol XL that i have not taken because I am a little scared to.  Plus he told me to stop it a few days prior to my appointment so that my heart would "act up" for her.  Who knows.  All I know is I am a mom and I am not ready to go yet.  I guess that is where my fear comes from.

Hi, Im the same as marilee176. Ive just started getting PAC's also for the first time in my life (39yrs) - started 3 months ago slowly and is now full on all day everyday, sometimes im woken up in the night. Ive had an ecg which diagnosed them, no PVC's but superventricular PAC. My doctor told me to forget about them. Ive also been getting headaches mild, with them, perhaps its stress - im taking magnesium as of 3 days. I did have a strange burning feeling in my back and sore back muscle pain before during the time prior to the PACs becoming chronic. It hurt when i breathed in, like a kind of lung infection but was too sporadic to bother with seeing a doctor. Which is why i ask about your mention of infection. If this was caused by infection - how can i get rid of it.. ?

I'm so sorry to hear this. PACs can make everyone crazy, and it is often this sensation that keep the PACs present. When you "go crazy", you produce a lot of adrenaline and similar substances which keep your body on constant alert, provoking palpitations.

I'm not sure how often you have the PACs? Did you have (or notice) PACs earlier?

Your comment "feel like I want to die" is concerning and if this is so, you must see a doctor immediately. Treatment for PACs is as far as I know often treatment for the symptoms, because PACs almost never are dangerous. As my cardiologist told me; "there are two reasons to treat PACs. The first is if they represent more than 20% of all heart beats. The other is if they ruin your life quality".

People have different triggers for PACs, and also different ways to solve them. Some people get lots of PACs with exercise or stress, but the most common is to get them after stressful days, after dinner, before sleep, etc. Some people benefit from small doses of beta blockers, some may experience more PACs after taking beta blockers because the heart rate gets too slow.

Supplements of magnesium, etc, does NOT necessarily work. I would recommend asking a doctor before you start taking supplements. Did you recently have an infection? If so, you should see a doctor. If not, the likely cause is stress (and anxiety caused by the PACs which provoke more PACs).
