Palpitations & back pain

About a week ago I began having heart palpitations here & there almost everyday. I've only had them once before & found out back then I was expecting. I had had an ekg & wore a holter monitor but they found I was fine... Then 2 wks later I found I was expecting & my OB said that's why I had them. Now 5 yrs later the same thing & as far as I know I'm not pregnant but I also started having plueresy type symptoms 2 days ago where when I breathe in deep I get a pretty bad pain in the middle of my back & I'm concerned the two could be linked. I am 40, in good health, rarely ill. It occurred to me it could be a beginning stage of menopause type thing, but my cycles are still regular. But I wanted to get an opinion on here. Thank you in advance. Dawn

I have heard that in some cases, if your back is out of whack, it can cause palpitations and especially skipped heartbeats. Maybe you should see a chiropractor, who can tell you if your back is messed up and realign it if it is. I remember reading about someone who had constant skipped heartbeats that disappeared after she saw a chiropractor and fixed her back problems. You never know ... Good luck!

I am not sure that your palpitations should cause back pain.  I would make an appointment with your doctor to get checked out.  It may not be anything but any pain should be investigated.  Take care and feel better soon.
