Yes- panic attacks can and will make your heart increase, and to become irregular at times. It is a terrible feeling and I have yet to find a cure for panic attacks, or PAC's, or tachycardia...Anxiety is a scary thing. Best of luck to you!

Anxiety will cause an increase in heart rate, even if you're not having a panic attack.  It is normal too for your heart rate to increase when you are standing up, walking, any time you are moving around.  Could it just be you are more aware of your heartbeat?
I have anxiety and panic attacks too.  I ended myself up in the ER 4 times.  If you have had a diagnostic workup and your doctor is saying everything is ok, try to believe him.  I know what you  are struggling with, I have been there.  Good luck.

I've never had a panic attack but from what I've read, it's quite normal for the heart rate to increase during one. The closest thing I can compare it to is driving along, almost getting hit by another car. Talk about panic. And what happens? Your heart rate increases. So that's quite normal.

I have PSVT so my heart rate jumps from 65 to 195 in a heart beat and races along for awhile. Then drops back to normal again in a heart beat. Doesn't matter what I'm doing: walking, working, reading, sleeping. Talk about fun and games. LOL
