I feel so blessed if this is all that is wrong after the phen fen. But just having a curious point today... Ya know sometimes the brain gets wondering about these things. Or rather mine does. LOL Thanks so much. I had a few ECHO before and one in the past year. But still just had a brain on full overload on this. Again thanks for the post. I am learning to cope and getting on a does that will help me regulate this I hope. The atenolo has definitely slowed the episodes of the attacks. Thank god. I was having them for days on end there for a while. But not like that now.
Obviously you should have a check up. However, while Phenfen definately caused problems in a statistically large portion of the people who took it, it did not cause problems in everyone. If you have an echo and it turns out that your heart came through unscathed structurally, then thank your lucky stars that all you have is SVT (no minor thing by the way). Whether the phenfen caused the SVT is really moot at this point, but the good news is that if that is all that is "wrong" with your heart, it is treatable and it's not deadly.
The glass is half full!!!! :-)
If you used phenfen you should see a cardiologist andhave an ECHO. There are many people who took it and ended up with problems. They strongly recommend people have an ECHO who took it. Good luck-Debi
