Propranolol 10mg

Hey I'm 18 iv had palpotations everyday for the last 5months or so and chest aches and pains, I went to the cardiolagist and they checked my heart with the tred mill test, heart echo and two 24houre ecgs's they said my hearts well structured and looks like a healthy heart and said what I might be getting is a early heart beat called a ectopic heartbeat.

They perscribed me Propraolol to take one in the morning around 9.30 am and one in the evening around 6.30 pm , the pills are working alright and I haven't really had palpotations during activatys that would normally bring them on. I wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about them doe? I'm getting slightly more aches then I normally would? Is my heart just adjusting to the pill? I mean sometimes my chest would ache for a couple of days anyway but I though the pill would stop this :s? Anyone know anything get back to me, its not really worrying me but maybe the pill's not working as good as its supposed to ? Should I wait abit before consulting my doctor because I only started it on saturday and todays sunday . . . . But hey not having any palpotations really :)

I take them, same dose. They really help preventing palpitations, especially the ones that occur with physical or mental stress. They also help slowing a rapid heartrate due to stress, and they prevent panic and anxiety. Other beta blockers lack this effect.

The aching can't be heart related if you are 18, and your echo and stress test are normal, so the beta blocker won't help you there.
