Do your PVC symptoms feel different sometimes?

Do any of you have experiences where the PVCs feel different sometimes?  Example a flutter feeling vs the hard thud of the first beat after "reset"?  I'm wondering if the flutter feeling is adrenaline based due to my body's response? I have been diagnosed with PVCs and have had an exercise stress test, EKG, and echocardiograms (1 in 2009 and one in 2013) and have been assured by a cardiologist and an EP that they are completely benign and nothing to worry about.  They certainly don't feel benign when they happen out of the blue.

I will say that if I'm having pacs now too then yes they are completely diff from tje pvcs I've had since I was twelve.  The pvcs are sometimes a hard flip flop or flutter or quiver. I'm quite used to those. This new squeeze or pulse type feeling is totally diff and feels like it comes from a specific place in my heart. Making me gasp. I will repost after I wear the 30 day halter and let u know if it was diagnosed as pacs.

When I have palpitations (pac/pvc), they generally are of the variety mentioned by sammi in that they cause a split second of a 'gasp' type feeling.  I have had ekg before when these occurred and doc said they were pacs.  I've always read that you can't tell the difference between pac and pvc without and ekg but perhaps the 'gasp' type feeling is charactaristic of a pac and not of a pvc.  Just speculating.

Acutally, I do recall while being told of the result of one of my holter monitors that there were a few "extra or premature" beats from the atrium. So the PACs have a different feeling I understand??

Type this into your google search box:

backup/topic-24286.html

and then open the link that starts with"Do PVCs lead to v-tach?"

The author is a cardiac nurse with many years of experience and an unusual knack for writing in a way ordinary people can understand.

The big point in this case is that after benign PVCs, PACs, and other benign arrhythmias have been diagnosed, although they may feel 'different' to patients, the precise way they feel--painful, fluttering, squeezy, booming, thudding--is not important unless much more serious symptoms such as heavy sweating, nausea, and inability to get around are added to the mix.

I was thinking of this very thing tonight. It prompted me to come here and search around. I have at least three different experiences, and that isn't counting my tach. I am waiting for a 30 day monitor to arrive in the mail.  Hoping for some answers. I have been wondering if I too am having pacs now because the sensation is new and I have a completely different response to it. Plus it feels like sometimes it won't stop. This odd sort of squeeze or something. Not the normal flutter or thud I'm used to. Plus it makes me gasp which has never happened.
I agree. It is always frightening and will steal some of my time in thought about it. I hate this stuff but should probably be thankful as I am learning it could be oh so much worse. It surprising to me how many ppl suffer with this stuff.  I'm sorry for everyone dealing with it. It can be miserable

Yes, I will second that! I think the lighter ones are probably PAC'S.
I feel my heart beating all the time. Wish I was one of the lucky ones that doesn't have a clue of how their heart is beating. I have alot of PVC's, some couplets, PAC'S, and some SVT. I have just recently become aware of the  runs of SVT. Remember what your EP told you...benign. Sometimes I have to repeat his words to myself!

Just my opinion but I think you may be feeling PAC also.I know most of us on here have both. They are as benign as PVC only difference is they originate in the atrium rather than the ventricle. And yes I know they don't feel benign when they pop up out of nowhere, even after dealing with them for over two decades I still feel that way sometimes but I look at it this way, two decades and I'm still around to complain about them, do that's a good thing!
