Rapid Heart

Hello, I'm a 42 year old female. I have been having heart palpitations, or rapid heart beat for about 6 weeks. I saw my doctor and she performed an EKG. The results came back abnormal. What does T-Abnormalty mean? Could I have an arrhythmia, or heart disease? My doctor has given me a referral to see a cardiologist. I'm worried.

I have an inverted "T" wave. Doctor thought I had a heart attack.  Actually that is normal for me.  Had all the tests and I'm prefectly fine.  You are probably just one of the few that have this normal abnormality.  But it's good to get it checked out.

Can a person with sinustachycardia also have a mitral valve problem as well as coronary artery disease?

T wave abnormalities are a very non specific finding on EKGs.  It often requires more of a work up to determine the cause.  More testing like an echocardiogram or stress test may be needed depending on what they find during the history and physical.
I hope this provides some information for you.
