exercise tolerance

I am 50 yr. old female.  I have MVP and have been on 25mg of atenelol 2x daily for years.  I usually walk 30 min. a day.   Yesterday I walked with a friend and it was actually close to an hr.  I didn't have palpatations at the time but afterward I felt anxious and like I had the flu:  achy, headache, lowgrade fever, sore throat.  Later in the nite I did have some irregular beats and the feeling of my heart pounding.  I feel a bit tired today.  Did I just overdo it or is there anything to be concerned about these symptoms.  I have been told in the past that MVP is nothing to worry about.

I would not worry about the symptoms you described, it does not sound related to your heart.

Sound as though you might have a short lived"bug" just coincidental with your one hour walk , if it was hot you might have been slightly dehyrated, hope you feel better soon. The doctor here will give the best advice that he possibly can.
