SVT or V-tach? Something else?

Last night I had a weird pvc that felt like it was trying to get back in rhythm like and then when it did my heart just took off it was in 170's and then I started to panic and it started gradually coming down. Does the heart speed up after a pvc? How do I know if it was V-tac or SVT. This has got me very concerned

Though no one can say for sure without it being caught on a monitor I suspect you were having some premature beats of some sort and your autonomic nervous system kicked in and caused the raise in heart rate as opposed to this being any sort of svt or vt.  The heart will sometimes speed up in response to premature beats but the fact it came down slowly shows it was likely sinus tachycardia.   I know it can be hard but do try your best to calm down when you feel your heart act up.  things tend to sort themselves out on their own so no need to panic.  If you are super concerned though make an appointment with your doctor and see what they say. Take care.
