Strange symptom

I have been stressed out for the last ten months due to some strange symptoms I have been getting that even my doctor and cardiologist have not encountered and said is beyond their medical expertise. It all started in April in 2009 when I noticed my heart rate from sitting to standing began accelerating very fast (from about 90 to 160 within 30 seconds from sitting to standing position). This can reach up to 200 just from walking up a slight hill! My resting heart rate usually ranges from about 75 to 100 (whilst sitting in a chair) but sometimes when I am laying down my heart beats up to 120 beats per minute, especially when I am very tired. Also, I have had some visual disturbances since September. All my holter monitors, heart echos and blood pressure monitoring have shown are "sinoatrial sinus tachy" and blood pressure ranging between 120/75 - 170/100. Has anyone heard any of anything like this? Please help!

I posted this on your other thread also :)

ask about a tilt table test; which can dx many different things - yours sounds a bit like some POTS symptoms - Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, but may be nothing at all

POTS patients can have excessive heart rate increments upon upright posture. A person with POTS will experience heart rates that increase 30 beats or more per minute upon standing and/or increase to 120 beats or more per minute upon standing

google Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and you'll find lots of useful info :)

I think you might end up in the Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia diagnostic category.  It's a very broad spectrum diagnosis.  I'm not really sure though.  You have to meet quite a few criteria to be diagnosed with IST.
