Pacemaker, Chest Pain, and Depo

I am 20 years old and had a pacemaker implanted almost eight months ago to correct SVT and A-Fib after two unsuccessful cardiac ablations.  I began taking Depo Provera about six months ago.  About three weeks ago, I began experiencing sharp chest pain on almost a daily basis; however, it generally subsides after 20-30 minutes.  During this time, I can also feel my heart racing.  I have heard before that Depo can mess with your heart and lungs.  Is this a possibility?

Contraceptives increase your risk of blood clots that can sometimes make their way to your lungs.  It would be odd to cause heart problems.  If these symptoms are new, you should mention them to your doctor.  Probably better to do it first thing in the morning because we are heading into a long holiday weekend.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the advice.  I will call my EP/Cardiologist first thing in the morning.  He has done a CT Chest for a PE before, which was positive, so I imagine he will want to do another one.  Thanks again.
