Jumping to your subject, not explained in your post, when was the pacemaker installed, relative to the swelling?  The surgery was so long ago it seems unlikely there is any relationship to that unless the valve or another valve is malfunctioning.  Here I am not saying valve issues cause swelling, this is not anything I have read or experienced.  I have a repaired mitral valve, done in 2007, no lasting side effects from the surgery other than a long scar on my chest : (  Looks like I've been in a knife fight and lost.

Hi Bernice. Sorry to hear it. From the patient support standpoint, the only thing I would like to preach is to be diligent. Be mindful, see your doctor, and follow up tenaciously.

Intuition is your friend. If you have questions about a possible relationship between your replacement surgery and your current condition, that is a good enough reason to go see your doctor and get checked out.

I hope things get better soon.
