Tachycardia all day.

Hello, I'm a 26 year old male. I'm a smoker. I'm underweight even though I eat a lot. And, I've pretty much been sedentary for three to four months. I have anxiety.. a lot of it. I generally wake up in the morning with a fast heart rate before even getting out of bed or moving. It seems to be in between 100 - 120 bpm. My heart rate seems to stay around 100 bpm most if not all of the day. And it tends to calm down a few hours before sleep. Anywhere in between 75 - 95 bpm. Right now my heart rate is around.. 105 bpm and it's been like this for a few hours. I was wondering if this is a normal part of anxiety.. even when you don't seem to feel anxious? My heart rate seems to keep a steady rhythm. I haven't been to the doctor yet.. as I fear leaving the house with this issue. Doctors also make me feel even more anxious. And my first ever panic attack happened in a car. Is there anyone out there who has had this happen to them?

I dont know if your still going through this but I am going through the exact same thing. Have you found anything that helps? Btw Iam 33 female.

I'm not sure when it started. But, I noticed it a little over two weeks ago. And now I can't stop dwelling on my heart. I keep thinking it's an underlying medical condition. My fluid intake is great. And my diet is far from balanced due to this anxiety. It has really decreased my appetite. Any thoughts? Could this just be anxiety? It really is constant tachycardia. And I mean constant. Over 100 almost 12 hours a day. Sometimes more.

Hi. When did your anxiety start? The high heartrate can be from anxiety, or it could be from something like hyperthyroid. Anxiety and tachycardia can be aggravated by nicotine.  It may not hurt to get a basic well man check have some labs drawn include a thyroid, CBC, CMP. Increase your fluid and make sure you are eating a balanced diet.
