Hello. Can you share your article with all of us! Where would we be able to find it? Thanks.
Lisa,
I will start with saying that it's best to have the tests to make sure there is no underlying pathology with your thyroid and heart. A normal heart changes the beats per minute to accommodate the needs of your body- so that's good. It's great that you are exercising. However, dealing with emotional management of stress will be the most important aspect of helping your anxiety.
Actually, heart rate variability (HRV), the beat to beat change, is one of the most reliable indications of the level of stress in your body. You can read more about it below.

There are many strategies to deal with anxiety and stress. I'm presently writing an article about the quickest methods to turn off stress. I'll be happy to share that with you!

hi there,
tks for yr input.
today i did my usual routine and it was fine as ever.. i don't know maybe
it was a false reading maybe not. i went for my usual workout again today
and everything was fine. my heart went up to 153 and slowed about 45-50 beats
in less than a minute. is this good??
wld a stress test shed some light ???
i am super scared to go to the drs . last time i went to my endocrinologist (last week) i was fine. as soon as she started examining me something she has done for over
13yrs now my heart shot up from 70 to 100 beats !!!. the minute she stopped
it went down again .
i always get panic when i have to go to the drs!!!.
is it safe for me to just wait and monitor the issue???
tks guys
hopefully someone jumps in here - but I wanted to add something - I've read people who are in shape and exercise regularly have a lower resting heart rate
anxiety & stress can lead to higher HR because the adrenalin (sp) shoots through us and causes everything to go crazy - I've done this to myself too many times - high stress lvls for me send my HR & bp to crazy lvls then drops off to nothing
best check with your dr since you have some known issues, but next time it happens keep a log of what, when, what you were doing & how you were feeling and see if there's a pattern
I can't say if there is something wrong with your heart. Only a doctor can tell you that.It sounds like you've been check out and were given the all is o.k.. What I can tell you is that your heart rate seems normal. It normally fluctuates up and down during the day. the 54 beats a min. on your monitor was probably an errant reading. I know that sometimes my monitor does not read correctly. I have mvp and moderate to severe regurg. I exercise regularly and feel great. The worse thing you can do is over think your your issue, cause the leads to anxiety and anxiety leads to your heart rate increasing .
