Wearing a holter monitor

I've been wearing a 72 hour heart monitor but at times I forget to push the button while having a palpitation.  Will the doctor or whoever checks out the recording know I had one at that time when I didn't push the button?

Yup. They use analysis software for detecting the abnormalities. The button is handy for correlating what you were doing in the log at the time - like exercise or eating or stuff like that.
