I feel everything is going to work out and you are going to do fine.

In my case, I chose to maintain my Vitamin D by getting at least 15 - 20 minutes of sun exposure (without the use of sun screen or face makeup) every chance I can get, in order for my body to absorb and create the vitamin D within my body naturally.

During the winter, it can be more difficult of course to do that; but, not impossible.  I get behind something to block the wind, etc. and at least get some on my face, hands and forearms, even if I have to wait for a break in the clouds. : )

It works very well in my case and I don't have the worry of unpleasant side affects.  You may want to ask your doctor if this would be right for you, regarding your concern.

As always, you and your doctor should communicate and formulate a plan that is right for you.

Have a happy and worry free day mady01!  :  )

You are most welcome mady01.  :  )

I don't remember what the name was my dentist used in place of the enpinephrine for my root canal; but, I know one without the ephi exists.

Oh......just a thought before I leave.  I know you have your dentist write it on your file for future knowledge; but, nonetheless, REMIND doctor "every time" you go in.  My doc tends to forget unless I "tell" him.  : (    Nearly had a close call once.

Have a blessed and worry free day.

Hi mady01.

You may concider asking your dentist to "not" use the anesthetic with the epinephrine in it.  You will be fine.  In my case, the numbing shot that contains epinephrine caused me Tachycardia (racing heart rate).

Later when I had to go back to the dentist, I told him this and he agreed that it can affect some people that way and he advised not to use anesthic with epinephrine on me any longer.  He used something else and I was fine.

Have a great day.

I can tell you you're not alone in this forum with your symptoms. I suffer from the same things you experience more often than I'd like to experience. Glad to hear you are finding comfort reading others senarios or situations. I've been really reluctant to start on a regiment of klonopin but I'm finding an increasing number of poeple here that are benefiting from it.

The injections they give to numb an area of your mouth is local, meaning it will not affect the rest of your body.  What will affect the rest of your body is the panic that sets in when you are scared of a new med or prodecure.  Take a xanax or Klonopin about 1 hour before the procedure and you will be OK...trust me :)

Hi iv also felt like weird heartbeats in my stomach at times mostly after eating my doc just put me on klonopin low dose and it has helped alot i dont feel them now as much and i read online about how klonopin helps with the fear of dying to, and with the heart irregularities i have that fear to and its helped with that also after so long now i at last sleep through the night peacefully. Im not saying that it will work for you but you might want to think about trying it or asking your doc about it.I know it hasent made my heart iregularites any worse and it does help relax me enough that i dont concentrate on them as much now.

I do have family members who take anti-depressants from time-to-time (not year-round), and find them helpful.  Most that I am aware of do take some time, say a week or two, to become effective...only rough estimates from what I have been told in the past.

As for root canal, while not a subject of this forum, I'll add my experience as an aid in fighting anxiety.  I had a root canel a couple of years ago to resolve a tooth pain that required drugs to manage.  The root canal took some time, but the specialist who did the work knew how to get the numbing in the right places...was not painful and he inserted a device that helped hold my mouth open and made that effort much easier for me.  I had the crown done by another dentist, my regular dentist.  Don't worry abut the root canal, all will be fine and I can say I have had no more tooth pain since.

Paxil is an SSRI that helps with depression and anxiety. I checked to see if it had any effects on the heart. The only thing I read was that it may affect the hearts of unborn children so pregnant women should not take it. Also, remember that if you start the Paxil you may feel a bit worse before you feel better. It takes time to kick in and your body to adjust.

Perhaps if your doctors can get your fears under control, the heart arrhythmias will ease up as well. All that adrenalin coursing through your body will stir up the heart as well. Have your doctors checked your heart to make sure it's structurally normal and all?
