Thank you all for your help and support in this matter, i realise that i may be worrying a little too much over these ectopic beats and sometimes you feel like you are the only one in the world suffering with them when they are at their worst, Again thank you all for taking the time to reply to my paranoid tendencies hope to talk to you all again soon, real soon

hi
first u are not alone in suffering from etopic beats or extra beats.they are more common than u would think.have u tried things like drinking more water, stoping caffine etc
anxiety will play games with the heart and when someone is anxious about issues with the heart it can be a stressful time.
take a deep breath make yourself a nice cup of tea {decaf} and let it sink in for a minute than these beats wont harm u.
sometimes extra beats can be caused by electrrolyte abnormalities in the blood or they may be caused by certain meds
there is nothing wrong with having anxiety i get it myself and it does not help with having pvcs learn ways to take your mind off it and if u have to ask your doc for something to help.
if u are worried about something if we can help we will or if u browse in the health topics above u will see the symptoms of anxiety i'm sure u will see it is huge.
do u get palpitations with these as well
Hi Donna
I'm a new member too and am getting so much support and confidence from this community who are all living with problems and helping each other.
You are not going to get a heart attack, your doctor knows and is telling you this, otherwise you would be having further treatment.
Your first step forward is to believe this and then start building your confidence to live a normal life. Anxiety can and does produce many symptoms so how about starting with realaxtion techniques .
Have you been prescribed any tablets?
First of all, I'm here to calm you down by telling you that missed beats are not going to cause a heart attack. They can be quite annoying and very distracting but rest assured , they are not dangerous. You have had 2 EKG's and a 24 hr monitor which showed nothing significant. Your Dr. seems to think you have anxiety. Is anything going on in your life that is causing stress? Did these missed beats just start recently?
